Common questions

The app isn't updating

Force-quit the app (swipe up from the bottom and flick the app card off the screen), then reopen. The updated version should load.

The pronunciation button is silent

Confirm Pronunciation playback is on under Settings, and that your iPhone's media volume is up. Audio uses your iPhone's built-in Japanese voice (typically "Kyoko"); if you've never used Japanese speech synthesis on this device, iOS may need a moment to download the voice the first time.

Daily reminders aren't arriving

Confirm Daily reminder is on under Settings, and that you granted notification permission when iOS prompted. If you previously denied, open iPhone Settings → Notifications → NihonGO Dominos and re-enable Allow Notifications.

I want to clear all my progress and start fresh

Settings → Reset all progress near the bottom of the page. This clears your streak, marked-known sets, and the Challenge Box. App preferences themselves stay.
